UPDATE: After the last post is was the summer holidays so travelling and enjoying life took over :) And then i found out i was pregnant..! So ive been making the most out of my time before the little one arrives..which will be next month! eekk Quite excited!^__^ Anywayss, back to the review! =]
I bought these products a loooong time ago, so ive had plenty of time to test them out and give my opinions on them since they are all in my everyday makeup routine! :)
1. Healthy Balance Unifying Powder ~ Shade 52 - Vanilla.
This powder is smooth and fine and the colour matches my skin very well. The packaging is thin and compact so it can easily fit into your handbag. I still use this powder everyday to set my foundation and concealer, mainly my concealer since i prefer a slight dewy look compared to matte.
On my little/no-makeup days where i want a bit of coverage i use this powder by itself along with some concealer and it does the job. However if my skin is dry on the day, the powder enhances the patches of dry skin around my face which isnt pretty.
2. Healthy Mix Gel Foundation ~ Shade 52 - Vanilla.
Got this foundation after reading and watching many reviews on how good it is - hence the 'Beauty Insiders Choice Winner 2012 sticker on the lid! And i have to say, i agree with the crowd on this one!
This foundation is silky and quite thin in consistency with it being a 'gel' foundation and spreads easily around the face when applied using my fingers. The coverage is medium and drys to a matte finish on my skin meaning i don't need powder afterwards which is great for your everyday makeup rountine or if you dont have much time.
I love the fact that this foundation has a pump which makes it much easier to get the right amount and keeps the lid clean.
I got this foundation in the same colour as my powder so they blend together and matches my skin tone really well - which is now more yellow undertoned compared to last year! >_<
3. Bronzing Powder ~ Shade 14 - Olive/tanned skin
I saw this when i was looking for the gel foundation and picked it up after i read the words 'Radiance & Hydration' on the cover which appeals to be alot since i have dry skin!
Firstly, this bronzing powder smells yummy like chocolate! XD Exactly the same as the original bronzing powder and highlighting powders. I really like this bronzer as it doesn't look muddy and dark on my skintone.
The colour is quite pigmented and buildable to suit your preference, this colour is in shade olive/tanned and i only use this to contour my face so i apply it lightly and blend it in well to make it look natural. The powder is silky and smooth and feels light on the skin which i love. I only apply a little and gradually build the colour up so i dont over apply and make my face too dark!
The brush that comes with it picks up alot of the powder at once and because it is small, it makes it quite hard to blend out the bronzer meaning it goes on in streaks and is uneven, so i wouldn't recommend you guys to use the brush.
The lid has a huge wide mirror which is GREAT as you can see whether the bronzer is even and blended. Its also magnetic so it stays shut in your makeup bag. :)
Overall, the foundation is a must try if you haven't already, but in general i love all 3 of these Bourjois products and would definately recommend and repurchase them again!

Congratulations on being pregnant! That's amazing news!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind me asking if you were still using the Liese to dye your hair and if so, what colour? I've been thinking of dying my hair again but can't decide on a colour - I love the colour of your hair in the pictures you uploaded last February.
Thanks!
Hi there!^^ Thankyou for the congrats! And sorry for the late reply, been busy since the little girl is here now! ^^
DeleteI havent used Liese in a long time now since it is hard to get hold of in UK. Ive been using L'Oreal - Casting Creme Gloss in 713 'Iced Latte' after i tried Liese and i have stuck with that since! :)
Congratz! And I wish your baby is healthy and well.
ReplyDeleteSo, have you finished uni yet? O.o
